DON VICTOR
As you’d expect from a coffee that carries the owners name, this is the best of the best. Harvested using their best staff from the Santa Maria farm, they select the best cherries one by one.
Transported to the on farm wet mill for depulping, fermentation, and washing, coffee is dried on African beds under shade for a period of 10 days. Additional inspection allows for any defect to be removed as the bean is drying.
Rested in Grainpro bags, then processed under the highest standards of quality and cleanliness that characterize the process at Grupo Las Nubes’ dry mill.
SOCIAL IMPACT
As a social enterprise, Old Spike’s primary mission is to help reduce homelessness in the UK through training and employment within speciality coffee.
With 65% of the profits we generate going back to supporting our social mission, we rely entirely on traded income to meet our social objectives.
