TRIYONO - Indonesia
At the foot of Mount Kerinci on the island of Sumatra, you will find the Koerintji Barokah Bersama Cooperative. A horse-shoe shape of volcanoes, known as the Pacific Ring of Fire, engulfs a great deal of Indonesia; and Mount Kerinci is the largest of the lot.
Farmers in Indonesia will typically own small plots of land and cobble their collective yields and life learnings together to form a cooperative - exactly how the Koerintji Barokah Bersama Cooperative operates.
The volcanic terroir of Indonesia has imparted it's unique characteristics to coffee of the land for years - resulting in a somewhat predictable experience where Indonesian coffee is concerned. Triyono, the coop's young managing director, has spent the last few years engineering a renewed focus on processing in a bid to help his coop's coffee stand out.
As a nod to his efforts, we've named this coffee after Triyono. A delicate mouthfeel with mango sweetness and a coating tropical juice finish. Enjoy.
