Social Impact

As a social enterprise, our primary mission is to help reduce homelessness in the UK through training and employment within speciality coffee.

65% of the profits we generate are reinvested into our barista training programme.

Whether that's assisting our head roaster at our roastery or working in one of our cafes as a barista, we're committed to supporting our trainees from training to employment.

Sustainability

We've made a commitment to plant a tree for every 1kg bag of coffee that we sell, through our partnership with the Eden Reforestation Project.

Whether you are a wholesale customer or simply buying a bag online, you can now enjoy your coffee knowing not only is it responsibly sourced, it is also helping the planet.

Sourcing Quality Coffee

We ensure the coffees we serve are as fresh and seasonal as possible to showcase the wonderful diversity of flavours and aromas found in different coffees around the world.

We also have a strong focus on quality. Higher quality means a better price for the farmer, so it is very important that we continue to work with the producers that consistently supply us with high scoring coffees. This helps them secure a higher price which is often 4 - 5 times higher than the Fairtrade minimum.

Altos de Saraguallas

£12.50

Puyango, a captivating canyon nestled in the southern region of Ecuador, boasts a diverse and picturesque landscape. The area is characterized by rolling hills, lush green valleys, and the meandering Puyango River, offering a stunning backdrop of natural beauty. Puyango's main economic activities revolve around agriculture, with a particular focus on coffee cultivation. The fertile soil and favorable climate make it an ideal location for coffee production. The coffee farms in Puyango yield high-quality beans sought after for their unique flavor profiles. As a result, coffee plays a vital role in the local economy, providing livelihoods for many residents while contributing to the region's rich cultural tapestry.

Along the mountains that surround the Lagunas de Saraguallas, one of the most important natural resources in the region, lives a group of coffee farmers who contribute to the blend Altos de Saraguallas. This beautiful and touristic location captivates every visitor's attention, showcasing the confluence of two of the region's most significant water streams: Saraguallas and Santa Ana. Their convergence forms Las Juntas, which in turn becomes the Puyango River.

The communities settled around this picturesque natural resource are culturally rich, celebrating their traditions with typical festivities steeped in craftsmanship. During religious celebrations, they often dance to the rhythm of the town band. Just as they have preserved traditional rituals for their festivities, they also maintain time-honored agricultural practices for farming and land management. Farmers in the region cultivate sugarcane, beans, soy, corn, and coffee.
