About Hermosa
A syrupy, full cup with ripe pear and frangipane, rich apricot jam sweetness, and a smooth, clean finish with low bitterness.
Hermosa comes from Coope Dota, a cooperative of around 1,100 producers in Santa María de Dota, in the heart of Costa Rica’s Tarrazú region. It was founded in 1960 by 96 producers. It blends honey and washed lots from farms across the cooperative, including Punta Roja, run by fourth-generation producer Luis Enrique Agüero Elizondo, all grown between 1,500 and 2,600 metres.
Coope Dota was the world’s first coffee processor to be certified carbon neutral, and it still leads on sustainability. It now turns wastewater from processing into fertiliser and runs a coffee school that has trained local young people for nearly 20 years.
Celebrating 10 Years of social impact through coffee.
We roast in London and run cafés across the city. The business and the Employment Programme are the same thing: every bag, wholesale account and flat white funds training and paid work for people who have experienced homelessness.
