ABOut EL DIABLO
Cerro Datanlí–El Diablo Natural Reserve, located between Matagalpa and Jinotega, is a striking mountainous landscape where coffee grows along steep slopes beneath a lush cloud forest. Surrounded by rich biodiversity, birds and butterflies move through the trees, shaping a truly unique environment. The name Datanlí comes from an indigenous word meaning “where water falls,” reflecting the many streams that originate in these mountains and nourish farms below. These natural conditions, combined with the dedication of local producers, result in coffees with notes of chocolate and red fruits, a medium body, and a bright, malic acidity that expresses the region’s character.
